beginner's jewelry class

I have been waiting for two years before I finally signed up a beginner's jewelry class this Spring. In the first class last week, John (the talented artist, instructor) demonstrated piercing technique. In his words, piercing is very meditative. I found out that quite so.
Meanwhile, I have been fascinated about Ronen Kadushin's open design. Last night, I did two candle holders based on his design. I loved them very much.

ten virtures of ikebana (the way of flowers)

Went to an ikenobo demonstration this morning, which was hosted by Ikebana of Arizona and Ikebana International, the professor talked about the 10 virtures of Ikebana. A good demonstration, I enjoyed the talk/lecture part more, though.
